Default Off road bed rack

Hey guys new here. After a search I didnt find my answer so here I am.
Im looking for a offroad bed rack for my 20 5.0 F150. I need it to hold one of those foldable tents. Ive been looking at the ADD Overland rack but if I can get a good one for a little cheaper Id be happy. Anyone have any experience with this?

Check out expedition portal or overlandbound. Both sites have tons of info on what you’re interested in.

best part too is the owner is a ford owner (raptor) so he designed it based around our trucks.

Depends on how much weight you are trying to put up there. If you're looking at a hardshell roof top tent to sleep multiple people you're going to need something with a high static weight rating. Leitner Designs makes a legit one - they also make a forged version to handle higher weight. RCI makes a universal one that is pretty cheap but the weight rating is a little lower. CBI makes a nice one as well. These all range in price from $800 - $1700. Another thing to consider is the height above the bed, do you want it to match the roof line of your cab or do you prefer something lower? Lower is usually cheaper and better for gas mileage if you want to hide that RTT tucked behind the cab. Venture TEC, MAX Modular, and Retrax are a few other low profile ones.

@ser3100 You'll have to post up about that rack when you get it installed. What dimensions did you order? I have the 6.5ft bed and I am in the market for racks for a rooftop tent. Looking at the website is a bit confusing, just not sure how long some of those racks will be. But they look really cool and functional, better than the Adarac M series rack I was looking into.

I will do so once I get it all put together. I have the 5.5 foot bed but I am running the 58 inch long option which is actually supposed to be for the 6.5 bed. I hope this rack is good because it looks so promising with all the adjustability and modularity

Also just email them. The owners name is Alan and he is a very easy-going guy and very helpful

Man, thanks for this! I've been on the hunt for tonneau-compatible overlanding racks for F-150's with ZERO luck and was leaning towards designing at least my own bed rail mounting system to adapt whatever rack I choose (I was leaning towards Leitner forged racks).

Xtrusion Ovrlnd seems to be a new start-up accepting pre-orders with promising accessories in the works.
