Default My new “315/70R17’s”

My current 315/70R17 KO2’s are close to end of life so I have been on the hunt. I was pretty much set on some 35x11.5’s since I wanted something a bit narrower. Well it turns put the Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT that comes on the Bronco Sasquatch is a rather narrow 315.

Next to my current 315’s

next to the 285/70R17 ko2 from my lexus

The other nice thing(depending on how you look at it) is they are 52 lbs:

Make sure you pick up some mud flaps because those things are stone grabbers, I just replaced them on my bronco with nitto recon grapplers and their 100% better.

I got em for $1000 for a a set of 5 so even if they arn't great im not gunna be mad. Anything else in a 35x11.5R17 would have cost me $1800-2200.

I have a very knowledgeable who has multiple bronco's and ran these on his 2011 F150 and said he really liked them. he did mention the stone issue though and I did notice when I picked them up that each once has like 10 rocks in the tread lol.

315 is supposed to be width in mm. Measure both in inches and multiply by 25.4.

I'm looking for a similar sized set of used tires locally for my new set of wheels.

Those 315/70R17 Goodyear Territory tires are a scam for advertising the Broncos on 35's. I ordered a set to replace my 285/65R20s I was running, and ran into the same exact issue. I ended up returning them; one because of the size difference, and two I couldnt trust the tire. It is such a soft compound tire and the sidewalls are so weak, I couldnt run them offroad. Opted to just dish out the money for tires that I knew were going to be reliable.

Here is my post about the difference. Further down I compare them to the Toyos I opted for. Click Here

Pretty dissapointed that they are sold as 315/70, when they are more closely a 285/75. The Bronco guys swear they are 35's anytime they are confronted by the difference...

I bought them exactly because they weren't a true 315/70. They run as tall as my KO2 315/70's, they just arnt as wide. And if you look on the Tirerack/Discount tire spec pages, they show they are only a 9.2" tread width when a KO2 or other 315/70 is 10", so its not like they lied to you.

I saved $800-1000 vs a 35x11.5 so even if they dont last super long I still feel i did pretty well.

Ive been running these for about a month now and been pretty happy with them overall. I think I picked up about 1 mpg vs the KO2’s and the truck seems less strained. Hills where i was dropping to 5th before will now hold 6th.

I have not taken them offroad yet but not expecting anything weird.
