Default how do i know when im in to deep???

me and a few of my buddies like to go offroading. and i would be lying if i said mudding wasnt my favorite part. but im worried that one day im going to hit a puddle to deep for my truck. my question is how do i know if im in to deep or if i will be in to deep? i've heard that as long as your intake doesnt get submerged you'll be okay. but i wanna hear what you guys have to ask. I found a video on youtube of where i like to go and its of a f150 in a pretty deep puddle. If i am in a puddle, and in that deep am i gonna be safe?? here is the video skip to 3:30

seriously though, if your truck is lifted the same as that guy's then I'd say you could go that deep...

Honestly, I wouldn't go past the door-sills on mine because I don't want to clean the water out of my truck. Your diff and transfer cases have breather tubes on them... you want to make sure they are above the waterline.

Hot diffs can suck some water past the seals when they are suddenly cooled... generally good to drain and replace all fluids after some heavy water/mud activity if you go fairly deep.
