I would definitely followup and find out what's different on the 2017 kit they just came out with. You do not want driveline issues down the road.

Thanks to member srg963 I decided to return my Rancho kit and go with the newest BDS kit that just came out last week for the 2017 F150 that has been redesigned to fit correctly with the correct pinion angle.

With the Rancho there is evidence that the bad pinion angle causes premature wear on the driveshaft seal at the transfer case every 20k miles. This is exactly what BDS discovered and the reason they redesigned their kit for the 2017 which just came out days ago. I thought it was a BDS issue, but apparently it may be same problem any of the kits might encounter.

For those of you who haven't experienced any issues yet please be aware this could be an issue when you reach that type of mileage. Regardless, I'm not taking a chance and hope the new BDS kit doesn't cause issues.

That being said, thankfully I caught this before I installed my Rancho kit. Paying for return shipping sucks, but I was given a reasonable shipping cost with the help of damaged boxes on the original shipping that UPS is paying for, thank you for being careless UPS.
