Fabtech 4" Suspension Lift 2017 F150

Anyone have the Fabtech 4" lift on their 2017 F150?

Fabtech is telling me it'll fit for sure, meanwhile Zone and BDS claim their 4" kit will NOT work on 2017s due to the angle of the rear pinion.

Before I order the 4" Fabtech lift, I'd like to know 110% for sure if it will work on a 2017. Don't want to start taking the truck apart cut the cross member to find out it doesn't fit.

I got answers from a BDS tech.

The 15-16 kit will for the 17 but not without a price.

Apparently Ford changed something in the front driveshaft AWD that affect the angle causing the joint/boot to heat up over time, causing leaks and potential failure of the joint.

Not sure the other companies realize this, but the Rancho, RCX, Skyjacker, Superlift I would think would have the same issue.

I'd be very cautious about putting any 4" lift on a 17 until BDS redesigns theirs with the proper drop down brackets.

Now I'm kind of screwed because I plan on running 33s, so the BDS 6" for the 2017 although specifically designed for a '17 would be too tall for 33s.

I just can't take a chance of messing with the warranty with potential issues down the road on a 60k truck.

Now what?

So just a '17 problem? All 4x4 models?

Right. Worst part is some of the other lift companies might not be aware Ford changed the front differential, or aren't addressing it yet.

Interesting, will have to contact BDS and ask as that's the kit I'm looking at going with on the 17 F150.

I'm currently running 34x10.50-17 tires and have zero issues with a 2.5 inch level the dealer installed...

Don't talk to anyone in sales, they don't know anything about this.

My installer called and spoke extensively with the lead tech there who provided the info.

The Zone 4" kit will fit, that's not the problem. The problem is the angles and the distress put on said parts that will cause them to fail miles down the road, how long not sure, and I don't want to find out either. But if they encountered this it can't be that many miles being it's a '17. At least BDS is recognizing this and will be addressing it. I hope they remove the 2017 specs on the Zone website. Having this happen to 2017s down the road will cause problems with Ford honoring warranties and everything I would think.

Will give them a call and ask to talk to R&D and see what they say...

I've got almost 9k miles on the 17, so who knows what they are seeing....hopefully they will say when I call....

2017?

I'm going with the 1 piece welded subframe by Rancho, had it on my Chevy and it was perfect and I know it fits right.

BDS just came out with the updated 2017 version of the 4" lift. Would've been nice if they told me it was due out anyday when I talked to them last week.

It's ok, at $1,900 for their kit, I feel it's overpriced. Very happy with my Rancho I got for 1457.98 with 7000MT rear shocks and front strut spacer after the rebate.
