If I was in the dunes or constantly off road I would lean towards fox even more. But for day to day commute and maybe light off road or the beach then vertex may meet my needs. The price point makes it attractive but to your point they are "too new"

If I were serious about off road then I am sure a new front drive shaft may be in order. As lift kits only provide a spacer to extend the front drive shaft. (Some do).

Which to me means "no serious off roading" if a spacer is in the drive shaft.

Anyhow I digressed..

I am in your shoes , my truck may only see pavement. it is 2WD btw i just was a lil uneasy with RC's past rep and not confident in the product enough to pull the trigger.Like you it would be nice to hear from someone who has had the vertex atleast a year. I could have the rear n front vertex for what the Fox Front DSC's are costing alone. The Vertex do look great in my opinon but I don't want to buy them based on price or astethics alone and I have heard some horror stories about past RC products. On the otherside, according to Custom offsets RC is trying to step up in their product line. but still too early to tell.. "playing Devil's advocate w/myself "

Someone most likely they will only have 6 months to a year report. If you do a search hear on this forum of Vertex RC shocks you will find several who will be able to give you some reports. I pulled the trigger on the fox DSC however they are a 2 month wait and have yet to recieve any shipping info 2 weeks in. Contemplating cancelling to get the vertex.
Where did you order your Fox from?

Autoplicity , pretty good price and no one beat there price although they have a gang of bad reviews i decided to take a chance. They dont have photos of the item just photo representation as they put it. You have to order by part # . I communicated with them several times asking questions before making the purchase. Felt satisfied with there response. Only thing is the 2 month wait but that seems standard no matter where you oder DSC,s From.

Guess you were lucky to catch a distributor that had a pair. I called Fox and they said 6 weeks unless the retailer has them in stock.

What did you use for the rear? I am thinking about using 883-26-012. I have the 2.0 smoothies that came with the bds kit but heard they are not that good.
