I stopped in one of tgeir east coast locations recently, looking for some wheel options and got talking about lifts. I already know what I’m going to buy, and I’ll install it myself, but out of curiosity, I had them quote some stuff. For installation of a 6” kit, they quoted me $1200 for labor, and that doesn’t include an alignment... no thanks. I also noticed on the estimate, they included about $300 for some warranty crap, that they didn’t mention... until I asked about it, and some other charges that added up to about a total of $550. All in, the whole estimate was nearly $7000... for a 6” kit, installation, tires, wheels, labor and no other accessories (bumpers, winch, etc). Yes, it was all better quality stuff, but still... seems like max retail to me.

I’ve never had much faith in national chains, of any type. If you’re going to have someone install something like a lift-kit, find a reputable, local shop.

That was my general suspicion when I spoke with them too. Not a good vibe, but maybe I'm wrong.

I will let’s 4 wheel parts install everything for me! But, I read some bad reviews about their done job; specially, their customer service.

They Quote $5,900 (parts+labor) for Rough Country 6” lift kit, and Fuel Hostage 20x9, and Nitto tires 35”

WHAT’S ABOUT THAT?
There price is higher than most but Parts plus labor that price seems right. You have to remember with 4 wheel parts you are also paying for a warranty upfront so that should explain there price being higher than most.

How is it different from any other lift warranty? My BDS warranty is all I need. The rough country warranty is also pretty solid.

I have BDS also and I think 4 wheel parts is over price but what I was explaining is how they justify what they charge. They claim they are charging for the ability to be able to drive it in if you have any trouble and they will fix , BDS will pay but they don't have retail stores to make repairs. But I do agree 4 wheel parts are way overprice.

Ya, they can try to justify it however they want, but if you find a good local shop, they will fix it too. My shop offers lifetime re-torques and if anything breaks they fix it. It was one of the better local shops. They are also the only shop in Phoenix that was on BDS's website. I tried going with the same guy that Stage 3 uses for all of their lifts but he was booked out 2 months.

OP my prices were from December, so that isn't old info.

Iam in SoCal where everything is overpriced. maybe I should shop around. So far the lowest I found at local shops is 750.00-1100. maybe I should make the trip to AZ.

If you do, BDM Customs is where I went or on point performance and off road (stage 3's installer)

But again, both of them were $1000 install labor so if you're finding 750-1100 i would do one of those.
