Default 17 inch Wheels

New here, hello all! I came across a set of wheels on Facebook marketplace. They’re basically brand new and I picked them up for $200. They’re a set of gear 713 double pump. Specs: 17x9, 30 offset, 6.18 backspacing. My question is what is the biggest tire I can run? I was thinking 295/70/17 or 33x12.5 but haven’t been able to find much. Could/should I even go bigger or smaller? My truck came stock with the 18s and 275/65/18 tires. I also put a wheel on just to make sure they fit, pattern wise and around the hardware they do however my old lugs did not fit. I found some smaller size diameter gorilla lugs on Facebook and wanted to make sure thats all I needed was smaller diameter lugs. I can post pictures of the wheels and a link to the manufacturers website as well as a link for the lug nuts. I also believe the factory offset is 44 with a wheel size of 18x7.5. If anyone has a similar setup let me know! I have a 2 inch level in the front and air bags in the rear, thanks!

I'm at 285/70 at +25 on 17x9, plenty of room to run 295/70. A 33x12.5 could potentially rub, depends on how wide the tire is at the shoulders.

Thanks, I figured the width might be an issue so I’ll go with height. Any pictures of how the 25 offset looks on your truck? Also any lug nuts you’d recommend?

I’m running 315/70r17 on 2.5 fox leveling kit (2 inch level). Had to remove crash bars and a decent amount of trimming. The only time I rub in daily driving is when I’m at full turn and hit a bump like a drive way, otherwise no rubbing. I prefer more room for articulation when off-roading so I’d recommend going with a 3 inch lift if you want to go bigger than 33s.

Thank you guys! Mines a 2015 XLT super cab so it doesn’t have the crash bars. I’m thinking I can get away with a 305 or even 315. I’ve even seen some pictures of guys running 35s but I guess it’ll all depend on how the wheels fit when I take it in for the tires. The wheels are 17x9 with a 30 offset and 6.83 backspacing. I’m not too keen on how offset and backspacing works so I guess I’ll find out come spring when I get new tires. Just wanted to get an idea

Just figured I’d post the final outcome, I ended up with 35s (315/70/r17) they didn’t have the 35/12.5s in when I went. Also got a used cap for $400 from an 09-14 that I was able to make work on mine!

Yep! I believe raptors come from the factory with a +33 and all others are +44. I have no rubbing and I’m on a 2 inch level with airbags in the rear and I’m running a 315/70r17
