tire size speed correction

Default tire size speed correction

my stock tires are 275/65/18. gps showes i am going 60 mph and speedometer is reading 62. so to correct speedometer i need a 275/70/18 to correct?

2mph off is pretty common on the speedo. Heck your gps could possibly even be 1mph off.

I wouldn't change tire size just to correct that unless you already planned on bigger tires.

i am wanting to put one size larger when time comes for new tires. , but didn't want to have to recalibrate.

I think you will be good with the 275/70R18. I just put them on mine and GPS is saying I am going 71.4 when my speedo shows 70. Not bad enough to recalibrate. Mine showed just about exact before the tire swap.
