tire rubbing
I'm looking to level my F150 FX4 with a 3" kit, then put on some 17x10" rims with 33x12.5" tires. I'm told by local tire shops that the tires will rub because of the 10" rim and the 5.03" backspacing that comes with that rim. Does anyone have experience with 10" rims and oversized tires, if so do they rub? Lookin for as much info as I can get before I make an investment.

I have 10 inch wide rims on 35x12.50
Also a 6 inch lift.
I only HAD a minimal amount of rubbing on the plastic part on the bottom of the front bumper. I just just off some plastic and its as good as new.
I think if you run into any problems it will be the same as mine.
Not really sure if that helps or not.........?
What kind of rims/tires are you going with?

10" wheels with a 5" back space are really meant to be on trucks with more than just a level. If you are stuck on them, stick with a tire that is the same overall diameter as your stock tires (maybe a hair taller - 1/4-1/2") and you shouldn't have any rubbing.

i was gonna go with diamo di 17 karats, and as far as tires go a good aggressive mud terrain. i used to run the old bfg mud terrain and i really liked that tread pattern, i would like something similar to that.
