Default tire rubbing

I'm looking to level my F150 FX4 with a 3" kit, then put on some 17x10" rims with 33x12.5" tires. I'm told by local tire shops that the tires will rub because of the 10" rim and the 5.03" backspacing that comes with that rim. Does anyone have experience with 10" rims and oversized tires, if so do they rub? Lookin for as much info as I can get before I make an investment.

10 in rims may rub a little but would be pretty minimal, if you could find a 9in wide rim you would be set, that wont rub at all, not with that backspacing.

Those wheels will stick out 3 inches more than stock. I would go with a 17x9 with 5 inches of BS that will stick out 1" less. The more you stick out the more stress you put on your suspension component's. Also I would only level up to 2 1/2 inches.

I have 10 inch wide rims on 35x12.50
Also a 6 inch lift.
I only HAD a minimal amount of rubbing on the plastic part on the bottom of the front bumper. I just just off some plastic and its as good as new.

I think if you run into any problems it will be the same as mine.

Not really sure if that helps or not.........?

What kind of rims/tires are you going with?

If you would like help with your fitment please let us know. We are happy to help.

i was gonna go with diamo di 17 karats, and as far as tires go a good aggressive mud terrain. i used to run the old bfg mud terrain and i really liked that tread pattern, i would like something similar to that.
