Tire Recommendations?
Hey all,
I joined the forum to ask about which tires you'd recommend for 2018 F150 Supercab with a 2.7 Ecoboost 4x4.
I live in Montana. Yes, I should probably have snow tires. I grew in MN and have gone through Minnesota and Montana winters on the stock tires. So I am looking at an all-around tire.
I would say I do 75% on highway/streets and 25% on gravel/two tracks. I am not doing crazy off-road stuff. The most off-road I do is driving on a gravel bar to put a drift boat in the river. So yes, I tow a light boat from time to time.
I've been looking at the BFG KO2s, Cooper Discoverer AT3s, and Falken AT3Ws. Do I need this heavy of a tire? I've noticed there are two sizes or ratings of the Falkens. Should I look at all seasons rather than all terrains? Obviously I'd like them to fair decent in the snow.
Please, treat me as someone who has no idea what they're talking about! I don't care what they look like. At all. This stuff is pretty foreign to me, so I am just looking for some insight. Thanks for you help!

I went from stock tires to the Discoverer AT3's and it was like throwing money down the drain. I drive mainly on pavement apart from a few off road trips a year, nothing crazy by any means, usually rocky west texas roads/trails. I ended up with 3 punctures on my AT3's in less than 2 years, one of which stranded me on a mountain out in west Texas. Luckily my Wrangler spare got us off the mountain and 450 miles home. I ended up finally going with KO2's and haven't looked back. I was concerned about the weight as well, but I can't tell a difference and my 2013 STX 4x4 handles better than ever. Being in TX I don't have much snow driving experience, however this Feb gave me a little and I had no issues driving around in the snow and ice. Just my experience, good luck with whatever you choose.
stock size replacement. 18s.
Thanks for the recommendations and insight so far!

I like the General Grabber ATX as well. At least 10% of my driving is in dirt, more if I'm working on projects on my property or my neighbor's. It seems that most of my pulling and towing is on dirt, so I like the traction I get from them. I don't have any snow around here, so others will have to comment on that.
