Default School me on offset and such.....

Okay, so I have a 2010 4x4 Screw and I want to get new wheels and tires. I currently have the 17in alloys and want to upgrade. A guy at the wheel shop told me a few wheels I picked out would not work because the offset was too low. Said I needed to stay around 30 and I could have lower if truck was lifted.

I might add a level kit to the front and would if needed. I want an 18in wheel and tires around 32-33in tall. Nothing extreme, just a little more aggressive look.

So, what offset do I need to say within at factory height level? Also, if I add a 2 or 2.5in level, what can I run then. Looked at numerous posts here but I only confused myself further after being at the wheel shop. Thanks all.

Factory offset should be around +32mm. When you go higher you start hitting the UCA, lower you push the wheel out and start clipping the wheel well with the outer edge of the tire.

There is a thread in the 09+ subforum about wheel/tire combos at stock height you should check out.

Thanks for the link. Hopefully it will explain what a negative offset is and a UCA.

Thanks for your response. Been on your site a few times. I read the thread, but I'm still confused. What offset range do I need to look for on my 2010 screw with my 17in wheels?

So the offset for a 18x9 would need to be between 31&53 to fit correctly?
