Anything you add to the truck in the end is pretty pointless. It's just something to make it more appealing to the eye and allow fitment of larger tires.

Your comment may be showing your age. Sounds like something my grandpa would have said.

It is not a waste of money if that is what a person wants. Why buy an F150 with the v8, why not an inline 6, no carpet, roll up windows, etc. Wasting money is relative, someone buys a Bugatti, to me that is a waste, to them they want it and have the money, not a waste. I have been looking for different wheels. I have not found any I like more than the 20" wheels that came on the truck. If I find some I will buy them, don't consider that a waste.

wheels and tires are a "someday" upgrade for me. i don't consider it a waste of money, but think it's a less than practical mod, so others got priority. but if i don't get them sooner, i will get 22s when i'm due for new tires.

factory wheels are pretty basic and you blend in with the crowd. some of us like our trucks to be different and stand out

I've thought about it, but only with other Ford OEM rims made for different year trucks.
Keeping a truck stock or with OEM Ford equipment is a big thing with me. I wouldn't hesitate to remove FX4/X2, 4X4 stickers though.

its for a different style or look or maybe individuality...but then again with everyone running around with the same style rim and tire combo, which seems to be pretty common on here...i think it kinda invalidates the point. So i say...lets agree to disagree.
