rims..Why

Needs more ammo...
Your comment may be showing your age. Sounds like something my grandpa would have said.
It is not a waste of money if that is what a person wants. Why buy an F150 with the v8, why not an inline 6, no carpet, roll up windows, etc. Wasting money is relative, someone buys a Bugatti, to me that is a waste, to them they want it and have the money, not a waste. I have been looking for different wheels. I have not found any I like more than the 20" wheels that came on the truck. If I find some I will buy them, don't consider that a waste.

i guess im just old fashioned for my age. i have a truck for purpose and functionality. it gets dirty, it hauls wood and a horse trailer and bounces off rocks and logs during elk season and i dont see a point in spending 1 grand on pretty wheels that will jsut get scratched up when i can put that 1 grand into something that actually improves functionality and performance. same thing with ungodly large lifts and tires on trucks that rarelly even see a gravel road. pretty sure my little 4.6 on 265's with no lift has gone more places than 85% of the trucks i see running around. I just wanted to see what everyones reasoning is. Me myself...im old fashioned.

I wasn't really excited with the stock 17's (first pic), but had to settle for them at the time based on the particular truck I bought. I think the aftermarket wheels I just put on (second pic) makes the truck look a lot more aggressive and personalized the way I like. To each his own though.

Obviously your opinion is far different then most but that is fine. Most girls like, appreciate wheels because if done properly they make any car look so much better then stock. I am not talking about getting girls either, I am talking about girls wanting rims.
Then you throw ********* into the mix and you have the "mine is better then your's" and " look how much money I can spend" or just simply guys who don't want to look like everyone else!
If we didn't have different views the world would be a ****ty place, but if we didn't have custom wheels it would be almost as bad.

I'm looking at rims for different offset and sidewall height, maybe accommodating larger brakes.
