Post replacement tires

Hello all.

I have an 04 F150 with 275/65/18 tires on it and am in need on new ones. Can I go up to a 285 on the factor rims without issue?

It seems that if I do go with the 285's, that I have 2 options, BFG KO's and Toyo a/t, any suggestions?

I have had BFG's on my pevious truck (F250) with no issues, but don't know much about Toyo.

If the aspect ratio remains the same (the "65" number), you will be adding only about 1/2" to the width and about 1/2" to the height.

If there are any issues, suggest that these would be minimal.

Thank you wde3477.

I was out tire shopping at lunch and it looks like I will probably go with the BFG's. I don't really have a lot of confidence in the Toyo tires, a lot of what I have read is that they are nice tires, but they wear quickly.

I've always gotten good mileage from BFG's. I've had a pair of Toyo's once, & they didn't get very many miles in comparison.
