For MT's the Toyo and BFG's are hard to beat. For an all terrain BFG, Nitto and Toyo's are maybe 3 of the best. For everyday use with a lot of highway driving the all terrains are more practical then the mud terrains. It's all up to the personal preference of the truck owner.

love this thread. i have been pondering the idea of what tires to get. and i'm thinking the same options you are and i'm actually leaning more towards the Toyo MTs but i just cant find them any were under $400 a pop (35x12.5x20)
except for ebay. i do like those general grabbers. i just dont trust them yet. those were the cheapo depo tires that came on GM trucks back in the day, and every time i used to change a general tire they were always flimsy and dry rotted and that goes from being practically brand new to old as hell. i never had that problem from any other tire. i hope they have come around and fixed there product.

Its not called an "MT" tire, they are calling it a "pre-runner" tread design.

I can get them at my local General Tire dealer for $326 each mounted and balanced 35x12.50x18 with road hazard

They list as a 10 ply tire, besides that General is a different tire company then the were 10 years ago. They put a lot of time and money in this design I dont think they would cheap out on it.
