Default Leveling Kit ideas or shocks?

I'm new to all the custom work but I'm learning! Going to add some new wheels and 33-inch tires. I have not leveled the care yet wondering if I should be looking at better shocks or just a living kit.. This will be for a 2016 Platinum edition. Not looking to do any crazy off roading but a smoother ride would be nice.

I think these trucks have a great ride at stock - if you aren't happy with the ride then you'll want different shocks.

Search the forums, there is a ton of discussion. TONS. It starts as simple as a ~2" spacer to 'level' the truck by raising the front up to about where the rear height is, and should fit 33 inch tires that way just fine (watch width and offset I guess but 33 isn't that big). Or Bilstein 5100 shocks, the front ones are adjustable for height, most guys use the 1.75" or 2.1" settings, rear ones don't add. Can get a block for the rear so that you can add about an inch back there if you want to do a couple inches up front and still have a slight rake. Then there's Bilstein 6112...or a Fox Stage 1 coilover...etc etc tons of stuff out there. Start using, hit those keywords ^

I’ve never heard a guy with a platinum wanting a smoother ride. Those things ride great on road compared to fx4’s or any of the true off-road shock brands. You sure you want new shocks?

I had a 2015 fx4 and now a platinum - I could tell no difference in ride quality.

No, I'm not sure just making sure I'm not missing out on anything. The ride is good but I didn't know if it'd be better. Sounds like a leveling kit is the way to go.

Leveling kit won't improve the ride; my ride did not change with leveling kit.

Because the struts aren't affected. The spacer is mounted on top of 'em.
They're also left alone on suspension lifts(IFS trucks). Longer spindles, cross members/dif dropped, and spacers on top of the struts
You can gain a softer ride when you level/lift your vehicle by installing tires with taller sidewalls

Drive one. I bought one and it's the same shock as xlt. Ride sucks and 20" rims don't help. Halo coilovers and C rated 35s ride like a champ
