Leveling kit?
It really depends on how tall of a tire you want to run. The first number in a metric tire size is your tires width. As a general rule you can usually get away with a tire that is 1-1.5" larger than your stock tire without needing to lift or level. This will have an effect on your speedometer though. Also when upgrading your tires to a larger size its important to make sure your new tire is not too wide for your current wheels. This will help keep your vehicle safe and it will also help you get the most out of your tires.
If you have some tire sizes in mind, give this a try. It will help you estimate the size differences between the tire you have now and the tire you want to run next: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...foTireMath.jsp

I have a 2010 xlt 4x2 and I ended up going with a 265/70-17 and that plenty big, u can probably go 265/75-17 or 275/75-17.

^Vehicle manufacturers can void your warranty for a number of reasons. If you are worried about that I would call them and ask them what it would cost for them to install a leveling kit on your truck. Most dealerships will keep your warranty intact if you purchase your leveling kit from them and have it installed there as well.
