In July, 2015, I purchased a set of Terra Grappler G2 275/65/R20, I had zero complaints with these tires until we had measurable snow on the pavement. With my truck in four wheel high, I found that steering was exceptionally compromised when driving in a residential area with curved streets at speeds around 10 mph. With my steering wheel turned left or right, my truck wanted to go forward. My assumption is that the tread design is such that the snow packs into the tread and does not eject. With only 3500 miles on these tires, I went back to Discount Tires on Monday and traded them in for a set of BFG All Terrain T/A KO2 275/65R20 and the performance on snowy pavement is greatly improved. As an FYI, Discount Tire gave me a 100% refund on the G2's, then I paid $271 each for the KO2's plus taxes. Life is good!

I went with the G2's and I have no complaints. I will rarely if ever drive in snow, so this is mostly for highway, light off road and going to the beach/camping.

Would highly recommend the KO2's. Ride comfort is great and virtually no noise. Nice aggressive sidewall tread and supposed to be improved rubber over the KO's which ive heard great things about

I voted for the BFG, but not because it's the best AT tire available. Rather, because the Nitto is the only AT tire currently on the market that I've heard nothing but complaints about from owners. Poor snow and rain traction, poor braking traction, irregular wear, road noise, etc. Looking at the tread pattern, it's a bit surprising to me. But across all the Ford, Nissan, and Jeep forums I've been a part of over the last 15 years I've seen a ton of complaints. Regardless of which tire a guy buys, he always will post a positive review. It's a psychological thing I guess. Justifying your purchase. But with the Nitto, I've seen so many people actually admit that they aren't happy with them. It's odd.

Anyway, so given these two choices only, I'd go BFG.

Having said that, given the choice of ALL available AT tires there are dozens that I'd buy before either of these. Much better traction and lower prices are easy to come by. Just some that come to mind: Cooper AT3, Toyo AT2, Falken A/T3W, Goodyear Duratrac, Cooper ST Maxx, etc. etc.

BFG A/T KO2’s is my tire. The first upgrade I made on my 2015 FX4 was to install a set of 275/65R18 BFG KO2 A/T’s. They are quiet, handle well in sand and rocks and deliver a smooth ride on the highway. This is my 3rd set, I had 315’s on my Raptor and didn’t start to notice any road noise until about 40,000 miles. I sold the truck at 43,000 miles and they still had had another 10,000+ miles of tread left. I also had 245’s on my GMC Duramax. Great tire you won’t be disappointed. Four Wheeler Mag reviewed them in their Nov. 2015 issue and only had good comments on them. I paid $873 for the set.

Went with the BFG 18" stock size. I wanted the E load for towing. Had them on a prior Tundra and they held up well.

BFG KO2s for me. 285/65/18r, I just love the aggressive look of the tire and I haven't noticed much noise at all so far, although I just got them not long ago.

Still somewhat new to the truck world here.. inherited my dad's 2008 F150 King Ranch with a 4" lift and huge tires and really enjoyed driving it so traded it in along with my 2013 Subaru Impreza Wagon towards a 2013 F150 FX4 and absolutely love it. When I purchased it there were Pirelli Scorpion tires on it 275/55/R20 and they are now in need of replacement. I keep going back and forth on the G2 and KO2's not sure which to go with. I live in NW Arkansas so I do see rain/snow/gravel/etc. Wondering if I should opt for the same size tire as the Pirellis or if I should change for any reason? I just sat at a stop light tonight and looked over my shoulder to see a similar FX4 with same 20" ford wheels with Nitto tires but pretty sure they read like 295/60/R20? Any help & guidance would be greatly appreciated :)

For that mix of weather, you'll probably enjoy the KO2s over the G2.
If you didn't want to add a leveling kit, then you could go up one size in height to the 275/60/20 KO2 which is a LT D-rated tire. You'll likely need a leveling kit for the taller 275/65/20 (I run them and love them) or the taller and barely wider 285/65/20.

BFG isn't releasing anything comparable to a 295/60/20 at this moment, so you are a bit limited in width with a 20" wheel.

Regardless, the KO2 is hard to beat.
