I'm not much for the thundering bass, and frankly my rig isn't set up for it. I like some detuned Reggae e-string but I want it to sound like a bass guitar, not my truck vibrating. Its all so subjective to the listener and I'm still pretty noob at the whole SQ thing but I'm really having fun with it. With just what I've done so far, I love hearing the soundstage work on Jethro Tull's "Skating Away" and the Eagles "Seven Bridges Road". I can now hear Nathaniel Rateliff's voice coming through his guitar pickups on "Need Never Get Old" which makes me friggin giddy and I don't have to hear my Nitto TerraGrapplers whine on the highway which is awesome. I'm listening to and enjoying music way more than I used to and that makes me happy.

Right now it's Morel Maximo 6's up front but they're about to to be swapped for Audiofrog GS60 mids and GB10 tweeters in MTI Sail Panels. They're being built as we speak. Rear doors are kicker coax and I custom made a sub box to fit behind the rear seat and house a Focal P25FS shallow 10" flax sub. Dayton 408 and 2 pioneer 8704 amps. The amps are getting swapped to one AudioControl 6.1200 and one 4.800 when the tweeter/ sail panels arrive. That will leave an extra channel for the, I am sure to happen sooner than later, upgrade to a three way front. To me, it sounds pretty damn nice now but I keep finding out that what I think is "nice" is really just OK in the grand scheme of things. Gonna have a nice set (less than two months of use) Morel Maximo 6' for sale soon if anyone is interested.

Once the front stage gets lifted up to your face level it's another world of difference in my opinion. Not a cheap venture but it will make you understand what better sound is about.

Haven’t had aftermarket anything audio since I was a teenager, but Metallica Master of Puppets was always a go to.
At the time I had a single cab ‘94 F150 short wide.
Those double bass drums were like a back massager.

Also used to buy dedicated Bass Mix CDs at Hastings and Best Buy.

I need to give it some time, I’m definitely the type to immediately start seeking out better. I think I learned a ton and I’m very happy with how it turned out. Now if I ever upgrade trucks I’ll have a much better baseline of how to build the system.

I hear you. After these upgrades and a re-tune with Dominic I'm moving on to Bilstein's and adding adaptive cruise control.
You a Navy Pilot?

Yeah, hence the overcomplicating of everything.

I know that. May dad was Navy Pilot (helos). I got the overcomplicate/ overbuild gene from him. Thanks for your service!
