Go-to Settings, then System Version, then on the right you see all the mcuvwr, over, etc. Long press that area till a keypaf pops up. Enter 7890. There you will be able to change vehicle type and logo and such.

Looks like Linkswell is getting ready to release their Generation II T-Style radio for the f150. Totally different interface, google os, Apple car play, double the ram, built in dash cam interface with dvr, improved Bluetooth audio module, etc.

Spoke with Walt at Linkswell. The gen II will be released August 15th. Quite the upgrade from gen I from a functionality and hardware perspective.

How much ram do they have in the Gen 2?

However the interface is just a new launcher. I am running a custom launcher on mine so that is not really a upgrade. I can run Waze, maps, etc. , Car Play works on the current gen, and they already have a DVR/cam interface on this gen.
also not sure about new Bluetooth, the current works fine.

Id be interested to see what they mean by "double ram" and and other hardware upgrades. The rest just seems like a launcher change and that's about it.

So i went look at the Gen 1 Linkswell is selling on their site. It is the 1GB Ram/32GB Storage version. So the "Doubling" would be 2GB Ram/ 64GB Storage, which yes would be a major update Hardware wise, however Phoenix Radios already sells the 2GB version, its the one i bought. So seems like they are just catching up to the units that are already on the market. It appears for the "new" version, they are getting the units from manufacture, then installing the custom launcher themselves before reselling to the customer. Which i guess is why they are selling them at such a huge markup over Phoenix or other places.

The unit does not have Sirius support, need to install the Android app.

I bought one and installed it today, my clock will not keep no matter where I set it keeps trying to throw me a day and half into the future, ac will not come on with remote start, ac when left at full power when not start up on truck start, I have to drop it to 5 out of 7 to get it to start, screen saver and load screen will not keep added photos, temp reads -49 degees no matter what, Bluetooth is HORRIBLE this unit doesnt use the factory mic it has one at the very bottom of the unit, screen loses a ton of detail unless viewed head on gets dark when sitting up right, you cant smack a ton of buttons in quick order or you can lock up the system briefly. I wish this would have worked but It doesn't, skip this mod

Sucks you had issues with yours.
Sounds like something is not right with yours. Either connection or firmware/software issue. Have you tried a reset? Or do the software and firmware updates they listed on their Facebook page?
My AC unit works fine, like stock when I remote start no matter how I leave the AC when ****ting down.

My time was off originally but just a hour. I had to change time zone to one that was not mine and make sure all the auto network update stuff was off.

Are you talking about the outside temp or the AC temps reading 49? I have my outside temp turned off since I had a weather widget on the home screen.

Mine looks fine from any angle, of course you lose some at ha d angles, but none more than the stock unit or most other tablets. From driver or passenger it looks good.

Did you have the 32gb 1gb ram version or the 64/2gb version?
