Skipping center channel speaker when upgrading?

unless your amp remote only turns on the amp when the headunit is on. Currently my amp doesn't send through chimes unless the headunit is "on".

I might have to pull remote from ignition switched instead of headunit switched.

Mine works the same as it did before I installed my stereo...whether the stock HU is on or off.

My chimes work but definitely get louder once the amp turns on. I think what I'm hearing is the center channel speaker first, since it is still hooked up to the HU, and then the rest of the speakers chimes once the amp kicks on.

Whatever engineer designed in that center speaker must have been tone deaf. Sounds so much better without it.

Unless your center is still hooked up to the stock amp you are most likely hearing the speaker in the IPC, which is used as a backup.
