I have an Alpine powered sub. It's ok. I'm used to an MTX 12" in a ported box, but my previous DD was an Outlander Sport and it had space for a huge box. I had the Alpine in my old truck. It evens out the sound but if you want thump you may want to do an actual amp/sub/custom box combo. There are custom boxes for our trucks for about $75. Also, I have not had the Kicker Hideaway, but I have had the OTHER kicker powered sub, and it's decent. I had it behind the seat in a short wide Ram that I had a long time ago. I think it hit a bit harder than the Alpine.

I have a custom sub enclosure that I made for a 2015+ crew cab that still allows you to fold the seats up, as well as amp and power kit for sale in the classified. Just food for thought. lmk
