Hmmm

Signal Input: 4 RCA Inputs
4 High-Level Inputs w/ signal sense
2 AUX RCA Inputs
SPDIF Coaxial Input

So how does this work? I was envisioning that you would intercept the signal from the head unit and use this as the inputs to an amp, but have never seen a stock head unit with RCA inputs.

It has hi level inputs, for connecting to factory head units. Low level included for those running an aftermarket head unit, I would assume.

It probably comes with an iDatalink harness which converts to RCA out.

I think he was referring to the inputs, not outputs.

According to product page

http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/dsr1

there are 4 sets of RCA outputs on the unit. The actual unit should be doing the hi/lo conversion, not a harness.

I am referring to the inputs, and having some type of canbus harness would be the only thing that makes sense.

Yes i think that is how it is going to work. This will mean we will get a non eq'ed and non TA'ed signal from OEM HU, since all these are done at the amp.

if that is the case, $250 is a steal for this.

Huge news indeed! Guess I'll wait a little longer until this is released to do the upgrades I want.
