F-150 SYNC 3 → Lincoln-Style 12" Screen Conversion (20152020)
Ive been working on a screen upgrade for the 20152020 Ford F-150 with SYNC 3 and wanted to share the progress.
Using FORScan, the SYNC 3 system is reconfigured to the Lincoln 10 UI layout (1280Χ800).
Then the interface is scaled proportionally to a 12" panel (1920Χ1200).
During upscaling, dynamic compensation is applied to reduce distortion and maintain color accuracy instead of stretching the image.
Just sharing what were working on feel free to ask questions or share feedback from your own experiments.
Detailed installation instructions will be released shortly. This is a screen upgrade kit from Carabc that preserves the original system and controls, so you'll still be using the Sync3 system. You can get more information from them via Facebook.

It won't change any parameters other than the UI. In fact, I don't understand why they chose Lincoln's UI, either. Their explanation is that Lincoln's UI is designed for 10-inch screens and can cover 12-inch screens, while Ford's original UI couldn't. But in reality, their underlying systems are the same.

Their response was that it's not possible—installing this screen would automatically switch to the Lincoln style and couldn't be freely changed. However, their 2021-2023 F-150 screen upgrade can retain the original Sync4 UI. I believe this is due to the Sync3 system.
