Design me a system!

Okay I got the cable, messed with the EQ and speaker detection so I have chimes through my speakers again. I am wondering if the pops are the acm testing for resistance as part of the speaker detection routine? Will see if I'm lucky and that fixes it (not likely). I also ended up on EQ 4.

Hey all
Ive been enjoying the set up for the last couple months. Yesterday the subwoofer stopped working for some reason. Connections are good, door speakers work. Nothing out of the sub. Any ideas?

Have you checked the speaker connections inside the enclosure?
Do you have a multi meter to check the output voltage of the amp?

Grab a multi meter and check the following:
1. Disconnect the sub from the amp
2. Run a 40hz test tone through the system at medium volume and check the voltage output. The voltage will vary depending on the power of the amp but the point is to check for output. If that checks out, move onto step 3
3. With sub disconnected from the amp, connect your multi meter to the sub leads and check for impedance. If you don't see the correct impedance, you either have a bad connection inside the enclosure or may have a bad voicecoil.

And you don't have your sub level turned down or anything?

2. I measure 5.2vac out of the amp when the sub is disconnected and 0 when the sub is connected.
3. Measuring about 2.5ohm at the posts from the subwoofer.

I hooked the sub up to a little Bluetooth amp I have in my garage and sound came out. I also double checked the connections internally and it seems good. Warranty claim with pioneer?
I also checked the fuses and they're good. Getting 12.05v on the input
Just noticed the light is red on the amp. should be blue. It's red even with nothing connected to the sub output though??

Been running around with no changes to the system for the last few months, just accepting that the amp sometimes plays different channels at different volumes. The front right was louder this morning.
The DSP-408 is on sale today so I caved and bought one, along with the bluetooth adapter. Does anyone know if I wire my amplifier's remote in to the remote out on the DSP-408, with the DSP-408 on SPK mode (using high-level from my head unit) will it turn the amplifier on? Or is it only a passthrough? I don't have anything wired up to fuse 23 at the moment.

Yes, it will turn on the amp. In fact, all remote signal should for any devices down the signal chain should come from the same source. The source being your dsp.
