i may be able to return the subs, they were a present. What subs do you recommend? i might want to stick with the JL's if bigger subs will fit and sound better
as for the components, theres so much out there i don't know whats good or not. i may just go with the Phoenix Gold's for the front. and what about for the back? my friend has some Boston Acoustics S85's and he really likes them. but whatever you think

Don't let yourself get rushed. I'd offload those WXs if you can (just an all around sub-par subwoofer spec wise, basically JL trying to make some cash off of the brand name). Go to a couple local audio shops and listen to what they've got, a lot of audio falls back on what you as the end user thinks sounds the best (everyone is different). Don't get locked into the brand names, a lot of the high end brands are ones you've never even heard of.
You already bought a box, right? What are the volume and depth numbers on it?
As jchubb said, concentrate on your front components, they are the basis of any good system. Subs are next (output is key there, look for a good box fit, decent brand, and high efficiency). Then pick an amp (or amps) that work best with those two picks. Rears should be far back on the list (I wouldn't run them unless you have passengers in a Screw anyway).
