One thing I forgot to mention, this layout and the pre-eq results are specific to these drivers and my listening position, seat height, etc. Any other driver is going to play different so you will still need to measure and see what works for your specific setup.

Here is pre-eq 1/6 smoothing. Not a bad starting point. Unfortunately the left midrange has the steering wheel and instrument cluster hump to deal with. Not sure how else those obstacles can be overcome without eq. Positioning is kinda limited in the left corner.

Holy crap, I never got a notification you responded to this thread Dom, my apologies.

Your setup is absolutely one of the examples that totally confused me. They looked like they were aimed really high and in front of the driver. So I started thinking and I hurt myself, lol. It seemed that setup was counterintuitive, but these trucks have a lot of surfaces to bounce sound off of. Then again you're reputation wouldn't allow something that doesn't sound good, so I just keep thinking in circles.
I still haven't received the replacement A pillars yet, so I haven't really played around with aiming anything. Also I have to mention I'm still driving all of these with the stock head unit. No amplification yet. What I "think" I'll do is mount the 3.5's and my tweets in some acrylic rings and hot glue them into position. Then I'll temp wire them and just play something to see what it do. Then I'll adjust from there.

Lastly I might reach out to you for advice for EQ tuning. My player has a built in EQ that's pretty good, and the more I read the further I go down the rabbit hole. I'm honestly looking into getting a mic for plugging into my laptop and getting good RTA readings. I'm so deep right now I don't even know where I'm headed. Lol

Before you build anything, you really want to get your signal chain finalized. Running off the headunit and positioning your speakers based on that factory signal is not the best direction to go. Even if you have an rta, there is a very good chance your measurements will be completely different before and after amplifier installation. I'd recommend you get your signal chain complete, then begin playing with speaker position.

I had a feeling you were going to say that.
Now I'm even deeper and my price tag just doubled.

If I do go amplified, I assume I'll need to get a 6 channel amp with DSP. And if I go that route I might as well upgrade my components to the Morel Ultra 603's. We're talking about $1000 upgrade. It's going to be quite a while before I can save up for this size upgrade.

Ok, suppose I run with what I have off of the head unit for the interim, aim it accordingly and build it out. How should I wire this?
Should I run the 3.5's and the tweets off of the stock tweeter wiring run, then just have my 6.5's by themselves?
This is where I start to get confused with wiring. If I hook everything up wrong I can drop the ohm values and smoke the head unit amp.
I have my sub wired up to drop it to 2ohm so I get the full 300 watt output from my amp which is fine, it's rated for this. I doubt the head unit can handle it.

I guess in the end I'll be doing the A pillars and the sails over again in the future once I get the money to upgrade everything. I'll put those up on the marketplace for someone who wants that setup on the stock head unit. It'll only be $150 to get another set of A pillar and sail panel trim pieces to rebuild.
Probably be over a year before I can get this kinda cash together without my wife finding out. She still has no idea what I've dropped already. Lol

Hey guys I really appreciate the help.

I have a friend with a 3D printer. Can you share the files to create 3.5" a-pillar mounts? I think the ones in this thread are beautiful.

Hey did you make these yourself or buy them? what did you do to match the stock finish so well?
