I think the Rockford Punch series sound really good. For door speakers, a lot of it depends on your pocket book. I currently have 5x7 Infinity Kappas in my doors and think they sound great but they can be a little harsh on the ears sometimes. I'm looking for something with silk dome tweeters. After hours of shopping this past Saturday I decided the JL Audio C5-570x's were what I needed. I thought they sounded way better than the Focals or Polks. I've heard a lot of good things about Hertz but I can't find anybody in the area who has them for me to listen to. The best thing to do is to get out and listen because everyone has a different opinion. Although, I would start with Boston Acoustics, Polk, JL Audio, Focal and Infinity. Hope that helps. If you were looking to dish out the dough, I think Dynaudio has the best speakers I've ever heard... then again I've never heard the Hertz MLK 165s.

Polk is a great one to start with. I started with earthquake they sound great. and Focal, Image Dynamics are probably the best speakers i have heard.

I have to agree with the Rockford Fosgate speakers. A good option would be to get some adapter plates for the rear doors and run some Rockford 6.5" speakers as mid bass and have them crossed over around 150 heartz.

I saw this hooked up in my neighbors truck and it sounded pretty amazing.. I don't know what model he used - I'll find out..

There is no reason to run 2 different sizes of subs. The 10s will do everything that the single 8 can do and do it better. Adding the 8 will only make it sound worse.
