Picked up the AP4-FD31 module and answered my own question. It comes with a second harness (AP4-FD03) to tie in between the factory head unit and the tweeters. The harness has pigtails marked for easy integration with the tweeters.

I just ordered the block off plates for my truck. Watching a lot of your videos, I see you don’t use the full stinger roadkill fast rings but use foam for the front of the speakers. Do you find the two two back pieces don’t work as well or do they interfere with the sound enhancements of the block off plates? I have the fast rings currently and am wondering which way to go.

They don't really do much of anything.

We prefer to use closed-cell foam for our speaker rings as you can tell from our installs. The product we use just works as intended and provides us with a dense, moisture-resistant barrier that helps prevent sound from being trapped between the speaker and door panel. As far as behind the speaker, we do not like to put anything that could cause an "enclosure/reflection" close to the rear wave. So we leave it open in the rear. The speakers we are using are composite materials, so we are not concerned about water. If you are using a home audio driver, then you will want to prevent moisture on the backside. Also, thanks for your order! We are shipping these as fast as we can!

Makes sense and mine are composite as well so shouldn’t be an issue removing the old fast rings. I received my plates a few days ago. Waiting on a good day to get them installed.

Awesome, if you need anything else, just let us know. Also, don't know if you have seen our walk-through videos or not, but here is the sound treatment / block off plate one:

None of this stuff is really doing THAT much. The idea behind it is similar to cupping your hands around your mouth to help focus the sound forward and where you want it. This does work at higher frequencies. For most that have a conventional 2 way, this helps more than those with a 3 way or wideband 2 way.
For low frequencies, this foam is not anywhere near thick enough to do much of anything. Kind of like home audio and the idea of bass absorbers, you'd need 18" + thick to impact much below about 300hz.

You can play around with this (link below), the idea is all the same. The absorber flow resistivity is hard to estimate as there are so many different closed-cell foams out there with different values. But, the little ccf that we are putting around our speakers MAY be about 0.5" thick

If you really want to seal them use butyl rope.
