2019 Lariat SE System Install
Started my audio system install today. 2019 Lariat Special Edition with the B&O system.
Going with Focal PS 165 FX in a 2-way active crossover setup for the front. PC 165 F coaxial for the rear. AudioControl D6.1200 @ 125x6 for power. For the bass, Focal P25FS 10" shallow mount subs in an MTI stage 2 enclosure, with an AudioControl LC1.800 @ 400x2. Also running the Zen A2B for interfacing. D6.1200 will be my DSP.
MTI amp rack will mount in place of my B&O amp. Using KnuKonceptz for install hardware.
Secondskin Damplifer Pro for vibrations, Vibro 1/4" foam for insulation. Also going to use a sheet of Secondskin Luxury Liner Pro for the back wall. @HushCarAudio provided me with some awesome panels to help seal off the doors, along with install gear like speaker mounts, speaker rings, wiring harnesses, etc. Made it very easy and looks great. @dhmcfadin has been SUPER helpful answering my million questions each day about how to not F- - - this up! I am already impressed by how much better the audio sounds faded all the way to the front, just by fixing the rattles in the doors, and getting some decent speakers installed.
Underside of the Stage 2 w/ Focal 10" shallow mount subs.
In place, but not wired up.
Looks great, very discreet.
Got the speaker mounted and wired up.
Doors done, ready for the door panel.
Size isnt everything. Cant believe the difference in quality.

I think it looks like **** personally- I dont have enough experience with vibration dampener or enough patience to go for 100% coverage like some of you guys. I was shooting for 50% surface area coverage. Most importantly- I can turn it up and not hear a ton of vibrations in the door. Cant wait to see what it sounds like with the amps, subs and tweeters all installed. I am already this happy with just the acoustical treatments and new speakers...

Do the silicone baffles seal the door card well or did you use some foam as well? I would like to see more pics of that part of the install......

I will take some more pics on the rear doors today. By the time I was putting door cards on, I was tired and just wanted to be done for the day, LOL! Bored 8yr old on summer vacation, wife coming and going and me just wanting to be left to work on my project.. Originally I was going to use luxury liner pro, and glue it all on and I had all these plans, but dhmcfadin talked me out of it, due to weight and now, just using the Vibro 1/4" self adhering foam, it already adds a bit of weight, cant imagine how my doors would feel using Luxury Liner Pro on all of it.

looking good, but 2 points jumped out at me.
MLV needs 100% coverage on all areas to achieve it's intended goal. sound is like water - it will find the path of least resistance. you should cover your doors and floor as well. see this post for a visual reference on doing the doors:

CLD needs approximately 25% coverage on large flat panels. at 50% you are just wasting time, materials and money.
keep up the good work!

Factory rear speaker
Focal PC 165 F w/ Metra speaker ring & adapter
Comparison
1.5" foam I used in the doors, behind each speaker
Rear driver's door panel after insulation.
Day 2- got the rear doors done. Only took about 6 hours. Got the garage all cleaned up and reaady to tackle the rear wall and floor tomorrow.
