2013 amp install - No cutting of factory harness
Sure hope it works for you. I am just going off of what Metra tech support is telling me. I actually looked a little closer at my truck today. I do not have the Molex door plugs. Mine is just a rubber boot. I may pull factory wire from there back to the amp and run new wire to each speaker.
As far as running a LOC, I have heard too many people getting interference noise with them. That is why I am trying to use speaker level inputs. Yes I know it would be easier to splice in, but several years of technician experience tells me to never cut factory harnesses unless you absolutely have to....

Check the part #'s those are the old style, they won't work on the systems with the 4.2" screen, with that said maybe the ones the op mentioned, 5524, is a good sign they might work.
In this pic you can see me holding the old style (red face) which would be the 5520. The other (black/white) connector is what our stereo's use and hopefully the 5524 is the same.

The wire connector 5524 is what we need, those of us with the 4.2" screen that is, now to order the other connector and make a harness for amp install without butchering the oem harness. YAHoooooooooo bout time, only been waiting a year.

What other connector do you need to order? The male connector that plugs into the factory radio? Can you order that from ford? I think I understand where you're going here. You're just making an extension that you can cut and splice without touching the factory wires, correct? Male connector at one end, female at the other, speaker wires in between?

The connector shown is the male end that plugs into the factory radio, the other connector that is on it's way is the female part for the harness itself, which will then be spliced together along with the harness that came with the amp, once built it will be true plug-n-play so I can revert back to factory original should I need warranty work for the audio system.
It's also easier to solder wires at my kitchen table than inside the truck.
