That sounds about right. Probably $100-$200 worth of deadener product, lots of work went into that box $400-$500, $200 worth of cables, $100 custom speaker baffles, then miscellaneous costs to run cable - pull apart interior - install deadener - mount everything - put it all back together -tune, etc.

You got a fair deal.

If you really want to know how much he spent.... add up the cost of his amazing gear + install.
