Default 1991 F150 Custom speakers

Hello. A couple of weeks ago I was shopping around for some speakers for my *new* '91 F150 Custom and I looked online and it said I needed 6-1/2"'s. Well today they arrived and when I took off a door panel and removed the stock speaker and tried putting in the new one, it didn't fit. The screw holes wouldn't even match up. I tried Google and searched everywhere but all the places I've looked said they take 6-1/2" speakers when it clearly doesn't. Is it because it's a Custom instead of just a regular 1991 F150? How would I figure out the size of speakers needed?

Ya I ended up having to drill holes myself. Plus we had to drill out some more room for the speakers since they were the wrong size, but that wasn't too difficult. Either way my new stereo sounds great so all I have to do now is make some boxes for two more speakers and a sub and mount it all in and mount an amp in and the audio in my truck should be good and complete
