Default Would like to say, Hello!

Hi, My name is Phil from Farmingdale, NY. I just bought a nice clean 1997 F150xlt, 2WD Reg cab, full size bed, 4.2l Pickup!! I work at a local hot rod shop, where we modify and tune largely Ford mustangs. I bought a house recently and it has put it a serious crimp in my hot rod budget, my wife agreed to the truck because it was practical. I've haven't found much here in the way of engine swaps, but I plan on a few mods for this truck, which I would like to keep anybody who's interested in updated. The goal, 600 RWHP, Stock appearing(to keep it on the DL). To do this I am going to install a 5.4l with harness and computer from a lightning, long tube headers, 3" exhaust(trough mufflers unfortunately). Lightning fuel pumps, upgraded to 255 l/ph. A 3.4l whipple@12-15psi of boost. AOD tranny built, converter. Upgrade rear(prob 31,33 spline w/posi and 3.73's). To top it off a custom tune by me on the dyno. Anybody who would like to offer any advice or has gone down this road before, tips and or/info would really be appreciated! I haven't started to acquire any parts yet, so any leads on parts would also be helpful. I can't wait to get started on this. I may have to haul a few boards of sheet rock in between upgrades, but I'm sure it will be worth it. Thank you and Hello!
-Phil

Welcome to the boards! Sounds like you have quite the plan there for the truck! Be curious to see how it progresses. And pics!
