Default New from VA

I've been lurking every once in a while for over a year now. Figured I'd go ahead and sign up. Ordered a 3.5 ecoboost, extended cab, 2wd, e-locker tow package, in guard (or greenish color) with a few options back in February 2015. Picked it up the last day of April.

I did the Weather tech floorliners the day I brought it home and Lund aeroskin bug guard, and screen protector not long after. Then I got some carhart fitted seat covers and installed the UPR dual valve catch can. That's about the extent so far. Next will be a Mag-Hytec differential cover when the rear axle oil change is due.

Thanks for joining. Looks like a pretty cool Challenger to restore.

I see you're putting her to work! Is that a 71? Looks like a fun project!

Any plans for the truck?

Oh yeah, it's towed/hauled a lot! I hardly even notice a car on the back with the ecoboost. I've put close to 40k miles on it in a year and half. The Challenger is a 70 and it's rough. But it's one of many projects that's on the burner right now.

That's awesome! These Ecoboosts really are no joke and they tow like a dream.

70? I was close! I know all about projects on the back burner

Do you have any mods planned for the truck?

It's only 2wd. So no lift kits or anything. And I plan on using it forever, so I want to keep it reliable. Only useful upgrades. The Mag-Hytec differential cover when the gear oil needs to be changed. I'll probably do a dry flow replacement air filter. Not sure if I want to do a cold air intake. Whenever the exhaust rusts out I'll replace it with a Magnaflow sytem or something similar.
When the stock tires wear out, I'm gonna put winter tires on and get some new wheels with everyday tires. I like the look of the American Racing Ansen wheels. They look like the old school wheels with a modern twist, but not sure if they'd look good on this truck.
Does anyone have them on a new F150 yet?

I like the way you think man! Drive it until it breaks!

If you ever need anything, let me know. I'm here to help
