Default New from PA!

Hey everyone. I just picked up a 95 reg. cab long bed 4x4 with a 5.0. I got it for work, but it looks so nice for a 95 that I almost don't want to take the chance of ruining it!

Anyway, since I'll be putting alot of miles on it with work, I'm definitely interested in finding out the best ways to increase (or atleast maintain) gas mileage. I know all the basics about a clean air filter, fuel filter, tire pressure and all that, but is there any one thing that isn't too costly that I can do to keep the mpg's up?

Also, it has a quad front suspension and it came with red/white rancho shocks which are just alittle too harsh for everyday driving to and from work. They are in good shape, and I was wondering if anyone would want to trade for a good set of stock shocks???

Hope to get to know some of you soon,
Chris

When you change the oil, use full synthetic, like Mobil1. This will help increase the engine life and protect it better than the regular oils. It can also give a slight boost to mpg's, I think. Also, consider changing the other fluids like transmission, differential, etc.

As for the shocks, you could buy yourself a set of "stock" shocks and sell the quads on eBay.
