New from Nevada
Well, I'm originally from San Antonio (Converse), TX....
...I'm a 24yr old gal, currently stationed in Fallon, NV and Nevada is the perfect place to live if you're an off-roader! If it aint fenced, you can off-road on it!!! I'm in the US Navy and have been in for 6.5yrs
I bought my 2004 Ford F-150 Fx4 Flareside with a 5.4L 3V SOHC Triton V8 Engine in 2009 as a "Welcome Home" present to myself from completing my first tour in Iraq. That was probably the best investment I've ever made! I'm the only one in my family that went Ford. Everyone else were Chevy peeps...BOOOO....lol. Even considering my Dad bought a MOPAR '10 Edition Dodge Challenger, which is no 495/500...lol.
I even have a pic of my truck while it was still at the Dealership and not even mine yet!!!
I eventually started customizing my truck, so I started with the cheaper things like changing all my lights I did my headlights and 3rd brake light first. The headlights are the HELLA Carbon Fiber Blackout look Headlights, and the 3rd brake light was the ANZO LED Smoke 3rd Brake Light. Then I moved to buy the Spyder Black Altezza Tail Light set.
Yup, my truck was gonna have a lil Street look to it, but, in the end, it was more off-road than anything! My next improvement to my truck was installing a K&N Cold-Air Intake system to give my truck better air! Took me about 3hrs cause I kept a constant eye on the instructions to make sure I did it right. It took me another 30min afterwards to figure out why my truck wouldnt start, only to find out I put in my O2 sensor backwards, haha! Started up just fine after I fixed it! I also got a very nice dual-single 3" exhaust system with 2 Flowmaster Super 40 Mufflers, and it really made my truck give out a nice growl when it ran! The only problem is my pipes are so big, I can no longer fit a full size spare tire underneath my bed. Oh well...
I eventually went with replacing the Fx4 decals and side emblems to something a little more current.
I'm never gonna be fully satisfied as there is always more room for improvement on a truck, but, my next project is to put on a big Ram-air hood on the truck and I'm still trying to decide on either a bull bar or a full on brush guard for the front of my truck and will eventually install off-road lights, as I will need them for nighttime storm chasing. I will also need the newer model tailgate emblem as well. Trying to decide on the size lift I want without affecting MPGs too much and the type of rims I want on my truck. Was looking at a couple of XD rims. I was wondering if those would fit with my current set-up and my 275/65R18 size Nitto Terra Grapplers cause I guess the new rims would be wider.
Well, thats pretty much my story about my truck, so enjoy!!!

Thanks!
Yup, I love my truck! And nice truck to u too, I've always wanted a Raptor for a very long time, will probably have to wait till they are almost 8-10yrs old before I could afford one...lol. Although, I test drove an F-150 with the Platinum package, and I must say, that thing had more options loaded in it then the last 4 cars I've owned combined!!!
