New Member here !
My man and I just purchased a 2009 F-150 XLT 4x4 super crew . We also have a 2001 Subaru Forester and a 1989 Ford F 350. Needless to say these newer (hahaha) rigs are a bit different with all the computerised things on them.
She has a V8 5.4 engine. We got 19.8 MPG on the drive home coming from Idaho to Eastern Oregon. This little rig is mainly for for me, I would like to pull a small lightweight camp trailer with it, for my Costco runs so I don't have to do it all in one day. Almost 4 hours one way.
I found this forum by looking for what kinds of protective waxes etc, are the best, as she has a very nice paint job, and lots of chrome.
I also would love to hear about trailer ideas.
Anyway, Glad to be here !
We are Dwain and Kate . The truck is Fast Betty.

WELCOME!!! Well I am glad you cleared up the Fast Betty name before I made another dumb statement. Also glad to have you on board. You will have no problem with a small light camping trailer as long as your idea of a small trailer and ours is the same. Should be a sticker in the door way stating the GVWR. I am no expert on camping trailers but we sure do have some good ones here that can point you to a good overnight rig.
Our Ford is metallic brown. So its weird but the first time I saw her I thought of Apple Brown Betty. Hence the Betty. The Fast came on the way home when neither of us could keep her under 85. Of course the first 2 hours when every one in Idaho goes that. But it was a very smooth ride, We are used to our Forester 2001, and our 89 F350. Thats when we tacked on the FAST. ;-)
