Hello to everyone, I'm a new member to the site and hope to make many new friends. I am a retired disabled 57 year old, (Viet Nam Era Vet, 6 years service in the Navy) I just picked up a new F-150 Ecoboost XLT "w/SYNC/CD/satellite receiver w/bluetooth" 4X4 w/Tow Package, I have a Magellan GPS so I thought I would save a few bucks by not buying a Nav system. I must say thus far this Ecoboost V6 twin turbo has impressed me I am getting 18.4 mpg combined driving which is way better then my last truck which was getting 11 mpg combined (highway & city). I plan to take my travel trailer out for a 2 week vacation so I will see what the mpg will end up being after a 3.5 hour tow down Interstate 81 in Pa.
Hope everyone has something to say about this new engine that Ford is so hyped about, and if this engine behaves as well as most of my other engines I should get at least 250,000 before I even think about upgrading.
Have a great Summer to all, Pakas

Welcome. I have almost the same truck you have. I tow with mine aloy and it is GREAT. the Ecoboost is the best motor is I have ever had in a f150 better than my 460 in my 88 F250. The new trucks with the new trans and Ecboost motor is the best package ever in My book. You've made the best choice. I'm sure you'll love it as well as I have loved mine.

F-150 Gas Mileage
I am back to report that the gas mileage I am getting for where I live is very good 18.5 in a mountainous terrain with speed limits that range from 25 mpg up to 65 mpg so with the range and hills I am happy with 18.5 mpg. Towing I average 15 mpg over a 3.5 hour trip to Gettysburg and back. Real happy with the towing mpg. The Ecoboost preforms very well can accelerate up hills without difficulty towing 10,000 pounds of travel trailer. I l;ove this extended cab pickup. This is the best truck I have ever purchased.
