Default New here from PA

Hey, I'm new here. I signed up a couple days ago when I new I was picking a F-150. Friday I picked up a '97 XLT 2WD with the 4.6L from a local Mercury/Lincoln dealer. It has 74,XXX miles on it and overall is a pretty clean truck. I bought it for my sign business. Too much stuff doesnt fit in my Explorer and I'm tired of borrowing my brother's short bed Ranger. Let me know what you think.

Here is a pic when I got it Friday afternoon.

Here is the truck as of Sunday afternoon.

The cap was quickly removed as well as the bug deflector. I also removed the pinstripe, the stripe that ran between the white and gray, the door ding guards and the factory mudflaps. I also painted the grill because it had the bad chrome that seems to be typical of these trucks.

Clean truck! Welcome to the forums. What do you have planned for it?

I've seen them with cow pushers on the grill that look great. Lift it, throw some tough looking rims on it. Let me stop before I start explaining what I want you to do to it lol.

Welcome.

The truck is close to being what I want it for now. I need to find a new lower valance for the front bumper. The previous owner cut a hole behind the front license plate bracket. Once I get that the front plate will come off. I also have noticed the cap wore through the paint on the cab at one spot so I need to get that touched up.

Future plans are to find this same style wheel in the polished aluminum. I know my grandfather had a set on his truck. I'd also like to get a lift, maybe 6" and bigger tires, maybe 35's? It will be a little while before that happens. The truck has almost brand new tires on it now so I'll go through them while I save for the lift/wheels/tires. How big of tires can you put on stock wheels?
