Default new here doing some research

Hello everyone,
Looking to get back into a truck possibly. In pure research mode right now. I have driven a 2.7 ecoboost xlt sport, and a ram with the hemi. I have to say I was impressed with the 2.7 but not sure i'd be happy with it overall. Can I get impressions of the 2.7 vs. the 3.5 vs the 5.0? Pros and cons (other than mpg) of each?

Also, Chrysler products are in the tank in the name of reliability. How does the F150 do in that area, and does anyone have any info on how it stacks up in the area of resale?

Thanks in advance. The only other truck I've ever owned was an 04 Nissan Titan. I loved that truck, but had to get rid of it after 3 years due to some financial changes in my life. I'm pretty sad about how much more expensive these trucks are now compared to just 13 years ago.

If you can drive a 3.5 and not lust for one, you don't want a pickup. I hear ya on the cost of these things. Good luck with your research.

That article is interesting. I'm surprised the Rams did as well as they did based on what I've heard. The Ford of course got great marks, but they really are pulling for the Ram 1500 as the all around truck.

I've had both and will state the service is much better with Ford hands down, now that's with stating that's only my experience.

I currently have a Chrysler product that had some warranty issues, and I will agree to the point that chyrsler service is pretty terrible. took months to get things set right. That is one of the factors against the Ram for me.

Since you drove a 2.7, I would suggest driving the other two and see what you think.

It is set up! driving a 5.0 and a 3.5 Saturday. I actually found a truck on the ford lot I really like. lightning blue supercab xlt 4x4 with the 302A package and sport package. it's the 5.0. Dealer said I could also drive a 3.5.
