New guy
Welcome. Nothing wrong with the big brother of the F-150, but the gang here mostly discusses F-150 issues and not F-250's. There are groups for the F-250 & F-350 big brothers. Unlike some big brothers, we seem to get along with each other as we have both have the GM & Ram bullies in the neighborhood to contend with.

I hear you. We were so close to buying a new F-150 off the lot locally. It was a 2020, super cab, long bed, with the 3.5L Ecoboost...but in the end the payload was just not quite where we needed it to be for hanging our camper off the back bumper. Been a fan of Ford for many years though - this one we ordered will make it our 3rd truck, family drives fords, and my first sports car was an '88 Mustang convertible. Sadly lost in a fire in a Walmart parking lot of all places - RIP. I'm a member on lots of different Ford forums, some model specific and some not, and have come to appreciate the perspective and ingenuity of all the owners. Things such as wheels/tires, trim, paints/wraps, etc all translate pretty easily from one to the next. Thanks for having me and I'll try not to make any waves!
Not trying to chase you away by any means. Glad to hear that you know that you need a F-250. You will find a good number of posts here about towing with a F-150 when the load is in the F-250 if not the F-350 range. You might be able to convince some of them with your own truck buying & towing experience. An 88 Mustang burned up in a Walmart parking lot. Wow, you don't hear that everyday. Let us know about your F-250 when you get it.
Does it help that I'm a lifelong Packers (saw your sig) fan? I was stationed up in UP back in the early 90's and got down to Lambeau a couple times. And then my wife and I flew out for the Thursday night game (26 Sep 2019). Flew into Milwaukee, toured Miller brewery the next day, and then stayed in Appleton through Sunday to save money. Of course it just had to happen that she, being an Eagles fan, handed us our first loss of the season! Ugh. But like they say...happy wife happy life. She's from out here and grew up on the Eagles (living in Delaware now). We were supposed to go to the December game when we played them in Lambeau again this past year but life sort of got in the way like it did for most folks.
