Hi everyone! I purchased an 83 F150 a few weeks ago. It’s in pretty rough shape mechanically, more than I thought when I bought it lol. So I’ll probably be reading and posting a lot in here.

Thank you. Im excited to get this thing into good shape. It only has 108k on it, and is leaking from every possible place for a motor to leak, so Im assuming it sat for many years. Right now Im just patching what I can to buy time until I can afford to rebuild the motor. After that Ill lift it, put on 33s, and convert to a flatbed.

Looks pretty clean from that picture. '83 was a long time ago! Looks like a fun project. Glad to have you join!

Its pretty solid other than mechanical issues. Theres some patched rust spots around the wheel wells and in the door jams, but nothing too bad I dont think. All in all, Id say the truck is in great shape for being 35 years old!
