Hello All
Been reading posts from this sight for years, just now getting signed up.
I have owned my 2000 F 150 since 2003.
I'm a Mechanic by trade and have a soft spot for all ford trucks. I was a service Tech for a Ford dealer from 2002 to 2008, Started in the Body shop and worked my way through a few different positions but was Diesel mechanic for most of those years. Previous to that I worked and played in the Car Audio world since the late 80's.
I have been involved with Automobiles in a professional and recreational facet pretty much since I was 15.
I just Started Doing some Mods to my 00' F 150 Lariat (7700 series) and was wanting to be involved ,input and output, with this group.

The truck is a work in progress. I was waiting to finish engine before finishing the paint. I have already cut in under the hood and door jams with Tuxedo Black
I'm going to do 2 tone similar to the Harley . Ford Tuxedo black and Dodge Mango Tango orange.
The engine had a blown head gasket prior to the build up. I had replaced the leaky factory plastic intake with a Dorman. I have already had that dorman off 3 times due to leaks.
Almost done fitting the 99 intake.
Will post some pics.

Looks good and welcome to the F150 boards! Any other fun performance mods planned for the truck?

Been debating putting a supercharger off a Lightning or Harley on it. Been shopping the parts to get what I need . My stock bottom end would be OK for a little boost, but I was given a Ford Racing Block that I'm gonna build up for more ponies.
If you have any suggestions on the SC upgrade I will gladly listen.

I am working on a photo album with the mods I've done .Just trying to find them all.
The truck is down right now. The aluminum intake didn't stay sealed at #1 and #8 . I was getting a little coolant into those runners. I think the sealer I used for the water jackets didn't bond well. I'm getting the intake trued and re-surfaced. I will not use the Permatex coolant sealer again. I'm not using stock gaskets,I'm using my own made from Felpro pro stock material.

Thanks, hope to put some Go with that Show. So hard to keep a daily looking clean under the hood. This was to inspire me to be less of a lazy slob, which I'm guilty of with my own vehicles.

I run buy the local spray wash every two weeks and turn the engine cleaner on and lightly spray the engine being very careful to stay clear of electronics, then turn on spot free rinse and last my local wash has a handheld blower to dry it. Looks new all the time!
