Default New ecoboost...problems?

Hello all, recently picked up a 2011 FX4 Eco Screw in silver. The thing looks amazing inside and out I'm a proud new owner! Currently it has approx 1900 mi and I think I have a problem with a turbo. Here's what it's doing maybe someone else has experienced this too. First, I was gettin in the throttle down an on ramp the truck downshifted and revved however there was no acceleration I had to completely let off the throttle and get into it again for it begin acceleration. Also I've had smoke coming from the right side of the hood, twice in the same day. Finally, I've experienced some shutter in 5th gear goin into 6th. I will be calling the dealer Monday to take it in, just wondering if anyone has seen/heard about these problems previously and their solutions. Thanks all!

Hope they get the problems sorted... nothing worse than a new toy letting you down and blowing up.

Same problem with mine. Turbo bogging down, transmission hard shifts, lack of response and power, etc. And the dealership can't do nothing about it since they don't know what is wrong... or how to fix it. I think I may have to go visit another Ford Dealer soon to get that double-checked and then if they can't still fix the problems... Well I'll liquidate the damn thing.

Sounds like turbo lag..but the smoke is strange. Gotta be careful with a turbo anything during it's break in period. Hopefully they'll get it fixed up for you under warranty. If I spent that much on a new truck and it was giving me problems already I'd be right back at that dealer raising hell!

I took it to the dealership today and they installed a software update and checked for other problems I advised them about after searching the forums here, since it never threw a code. Got into it good on the way home and no bogging problems! Hopefully, you can get yours worked out too because it really is a great truck.

Thanks for the welcome and nice looking truck! Wanted black myself but none on the lot with ecoboost had to "settle" for silver.
