Default New Add from Texas

Hello folks, I am new to the Ford family, with the purchase of a 91 XLT Lariat. I have some pretty big plans for the new and am here to pick minds over and share what mechanical skills I have with others.

Thank you for the welcome guys. I do have a list of things planned for the truck, a pretty extensive list actually. In order of the build line:

Interior Revamp, going from a tired blue to a sharp black interior, door panels, moldings, fiberglassing the dash and a new base of paint, dynalining all around, new head liner, carpet and I have a guy that is going to reupholster the seat in a marine grade herringbone pattern leather.

Engine: I plan on doing a complete refresh and mild build on the motor. GT40 heads machined to match a machined intake, 80mm throttle body, MAF conversion, a nice cam, new rockers and valves, new main bearings, forged pistons and a new set of I beam rods.

Transmission: I am doing a rebuild to include parts from a diesel E4OD, to beef it up a bit and give me the holding power i need to handle the added power form engine upgrades.

Suspension: doing a DLM 3/4 drop, with a full set of suspension upgrades all around.

4 wheel disc brake conversion.

Shortening the frame by 18" to accommodate a short bed.

Finally, I am having the entire truck sprayed in a sexy black cherry pearl before final reassembly .

All mods are subject to me living long enough to complete them before my wife murders me in my sleep.

Will also be doing a serious upgrade to the sound system. Plans include a set of Focal 165 6 1/2" door speakers, 3 JL TW3 10" subwoofers, and a full GPS capable head unit.
