Default My first F150!

Sorry I can't post a pic of it but here is what I can tell you. I bought a new to me 2006 F150 on Monday. It is Maroon or Burgundy and has a 2 tone paint job. It is an XLT, 2nd row seats 5.4 L Triton and towing package, rear end gear is a ?. It has power everything. So far I love it. I've had 2 Rangers in the past so this thing is a beast in my book. My father in law likes it and he is a Chevy man. Driving 4 miles to work each day I can afford the gas and the deal was too good to pass up. Now I am used to buying new and having the window sticker as a guide sheet and I have a few questions about my new ride. BTW it has less than 22,000 miles on it.

I am not sure how much I can put in the bed or tow with it? If anyone knows I would appreciate it. Also it has a stock radio in it with a 6 disc changer and it has an Aux button on it. Does this mean I can plug in my MP3 player and if so how? I am now off to start a search for running boards or step bars for it. It's a little too tall for the wife who is 5 ft tall. It's either those or a box and rope. Any suggestions on the running bords? I was thinking black oval tube style.

Thanks

I plan on sticking around for a while. I joined a Ranger Forum about a month before I traded for the 150. I'll keep the 150 for a good long time.

I contacted Ford about getting a build sheet on my truck do you think it would be worth it or should I just learn to decypher the sticker on the door?

Default welcome

Welcome! With all the info on the net these days, just get all the information off the door and look it up!! It's actually fun to decipher those codes. It's what I had to do on my wife's Bronco.

Tried that and it told me my truck was a 5.4 L V8 with 145 Hp. Could this be right? Seems awful low to me. Maybe I will get the build sheet from Ford. This just doesn't sound right. My Ranger had more than that.
