Default Lights

Hi everyone,

My very old F250 died last month and it went to the dead Ford happy farm. I am in the process of building my 2019 F150 XLT 4X4. Have a very great looking one set up, but have to wait until my second house sells. Just did the starting paper work with the realtor so, sometime.

I stopped at the dealer today and ask what the daytime driving lights look like on the XLT I am thinking about. He told me those were a Chevy and GMC "thing" and Ford does not have them. So I went home and looked in the 2019 owner's manual and found how to turn them on. I guess a dealer cannot know everything about every car or truck.

Can't find ANY pictures of these lights on the XLT on the internet. So a question to any one that owns one of the 2019 F150 XLT can you post a picture of your daytime driving lights? These would be on an XLT with the front grill described by ford as: Grille=Chrome two-bar style with chrome nostrils. Black surround and black background mesh. The actual lights appear to wrap around the "chrome nostrils."

Thanks,

SnowHater

Sounds disturbing that the salesman doesn’t know the product. My DRL on my 18 XLT look like dimmed regular low beam headlights. Not sure if the 19s are the same but thought I’d share.

btw- they are only on when you are in not in park.

As far as I know, the XLT does not have the LED outline DRL. The daytime running light function will illuminate the headlight bulbs at about half of the brightness as your low beams.

Well that is a bummer. I wonder what Ford idiot designer came up with that idea. Sure would not add to the attractiveness of the truck.
