Default Just Picked Her Up!!!

Hi Gang!

Have to say, I'm pretty amazed that there's a forum out here in internet land dedicated to the F150! hehe.

I just picked up, 7 hours ago, my first ever full size F150 from the dealer. I bought a brand new XLT Crew Cab with XTR package, 5.4L V8, and a few other options on it.

So far, I've put a whopping 68 kms on it! haha. I'm pretty amazed at how nice it rides and the feel of the truck. Having owned smaller (Ranger) trucks in the past, I'm a little intimidated, but I"m sure that will pass quickly! Gotta love the 300 ponies!

Any advice on maintenance and tips is appreciated.

I'm also interested in finding a used or equivalent after market DVD for the rail storage system up top. Any ideas besides the outrages price Ford wants for theirs?

Thanks gang and I look forward to hearing from all.

Your new Canuck Buddy!

Congrats man,
I am in the same boat as you. This is my first truck ever (2006 5.4 XLT Longbox )and I am loving it. I am from Canada as well so I can't wait until it snows so I can test out the 4x4.
What province are you from? I am from Sask.
Go Riders,

Bar Train, I am in South Western Ontario, but originally from Northern Ontario, near Timmins/Sudbury. Still have plenty of friends and family up there to visit so I'm sure the 4x4 will come in handy this winter as I make the 8+ hour trek up north.

JON - I'm still working on the pics. I tried to take a few today, but they didn't come out very good. It was dark and overcast. Will post some once I get a sunny day.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Grats on the truck.. as for the DVD player, you can pick one up for small change just about anywhere these days, even if it doesn't have a AC adaptor you can pick up an inverter for less than 20 here.

Welcome aboard. I always find a reason to use my 4x4... Like driving down the pasture after someone forgot to turn the water off a running spicket!! Opps!!
